DesignEvo, an Online Logo Design Tool That You Should Know

You surely need a logo if you are a blogger, a solopreneur, or a startup. However, you do not need to pay much to hire a design company. In today’s tutorial, I’ll show you how to find inspiration and create a professional logo for free using DesignEvo.

For this project, I will create a logo for a fictional blog. We are going to create this logo with DesignEvo.

I’ll take a beauty thing-related website as an example. Imagine a website that shares beauty tips and promotes natural products. This blog targets young women are looking for alternative beauty products that are as good for their bodies as they are for the environment.

Here is the process I go through every time I create a logo.

Defining the personality of the company

When creating your logo, think about your business, its personality, its mission. Also, think about its target and the emotions you want to communicate to it. If you still don’t have a clear idea of who you are and who you are talking to, you will have a hard time defining a coherent visual identity.

I want to make an image of simplicity, ease and therefore, they will opt for a clean logo.

Think of a color palette in line with your brand

The mission of a beauty-themed website is to promote natural beauty products. Therefore, one could choose warm colors (orange, yellow, pink, etc.) which symbolize nature. These colors also have a soothing effect. The choice of green serves to make the connection with the environment, which is important for the mission of our fictitious company.

Choose a font

I’m going to be perceived as close to its members of the beauty-themed website. They have a very personal and human approach. So choosing a handwritten and rounded typeface would help portray its informal and human side.

Find inspiration

DesignEvo

Suppose you already have a clear idea of what you want (and even if you do). In that case, I suggest looking at the logos of your competitors, companies in your industry, and companies that project the same emotions as those that you want to communicate. Ask yourself what these logos have in common. What are the things you could improve? Which ones should you avoid?

Create a logo with DesignEvo

For today’s project, we want to come up with a simple, clean logo that speaks to the target audience and matches the characteristics of a good logo.

DesignEvo has a huge number of logo templates for every taste. The idea is to browse these first for inspiration. You can choose those that will serve as a starting point.

I warn you! with all the alternatives you’re going to see in DesignEvo, chances are you’ll explore several ideas even if you’re not going to retain them all. It’s a normal process. A logo is the result of several iterations.

Some recommendations

 1. Rake wide at first. Take the time to go through all of DesignEvo’s logo templates and select the ones that appeal to you the most. Then proceed with a gradual elimination.
 2. In the end, you need to end up with 2 or 3 versions that you can send to friends to get their opinion. This feedback will help you select the logo that has the most impact, or at worst. It will allow you to find ways to improve.
 3. Remix the templates you have chosen to make your logo unique. You may not want to come across a logo identical to yours one day. Remember that DesignEvo’s templates should be starting points. Do not use them as is!
 4. Have fun and let your creativity flow!
